Under these circumstances, students at the Department of Social Policy will acquire basic knowledge of social welfare, which is becoming important for an increasing number of people. Based on its 40-year experience in social welfare education, the Department trains people to be community social workers with problem-solving skills, who continue to be aware of welfare issues at local government and community level, as well as individuals who are capable of contributing to private-sector organizations, businesses, NPOs, and administrative and educational organizations that are conscious of welfare issues.

To help those who have difficulty in developing interpersonal relations, psychological approaches are necessary.
This department aims at developing students with social skill competence and sensibility for human relationships, who can deeply probe into human nature.
The curriculum includes courses on interpersonal relationships; theories of social, developmental, clinical, and basic psychology; and psychological experimentation.
